Username: Dennis Stamp
Skill Level: I am a Veteran when it comes to playing Duke 3D solo, but since I never had the opportunity to play it with/against others until the Megaton Edition came out (with online support), I am a Newbie when it comes to Duke 3D Multiplayer.
Favourity Mode: Co-Op.
Time Zone: Mountain Daylight Time (MDT).
Availability: I don't have a strict availability schedule since I work on-call, but I am almost always available to game on weekend afternoons and evenings.
Connection: Very fast. I am not sure what class of internet I have because I am renting a room in a house and do not have physical access to the modem. I can say with confidence that the internet is almost always very fast unless one of my house mates is watching Netflix. I have hosted a 3-player Duke 3D co-op game and the game seemed to play fine on my end. No one complained about excessive lag.
Although my connection is fast, I notice that movement in Duke 3D lags a bit when I take it online. This does not happen when I play other games like Duke Nukem Forever online, so my guess is that the performance can be traced to the game's ancient multiplayer code and a lack of optimization for high-speed internet connections.
Extra comments: I would like to team up with other Duke 3D players to beat an entire episode of Duke 3D (Maybe Duke It Out in DC?).
Skill level: Since I have never had an opportunity to play dukematch I'd say newb for online, but for the single player I'd say veteran, been playing this game non stop since '96 in all its variations and ports/spinoffs.
Favorite/preffered mode: Co-op
Time zone: US central time.
Availability: I work all week, but I am avail some nights and most weekends.
Connection: Slow enough I would only host locals, but fast enough joining a server elsewhere shouldn't cause much issue.
Additional comments: Beaten the first four episodes countless times, just finally played and beat the 3 expansions, and I only play on Come Get Some or Damn, I'm good.
Skill Level: I'm somewhat skilled when it comes to Duke single-player and the same can be said for multiplayer. Much more of a Doom player, but always loved going to Duke for some awesome co-op fun.
Favorite Modes: Prefer Co-op but big DM matches are awesome too!
Time Zone/Availability: Central Standard Time and I'm pretty much free all week.
Connection: I'd say so.
Skill level: Veteran of Duke Nukem since I was 4 years old. Speedran the entire first episode in under 10 minutes. Also a hardcore and Semi-pro player online.
Favorite/Prefered mode: DukeMatch
Time zone: Eastern Standard Time (EST)
Availability: Most of the week. Hardcore Duke Nukem 3D and Forever player so friend/message me if you'd like to play when I'm online. (Unless I am busy at that moment.)
Connection: Decent. Not "NASA-grade" connnection but not "Toaster-modem" either.
Additional comments: I am a map maker on Duke Nukem 3D. I have created maps like Duke City and Prison Break. If anyone knows Duke64 (The player) I also taught him how to make maps. (Figured I would mention it because he gives me no credit for what I did for him) BUT ANYWAY... Please enjoy the group everyone. Rukia, myself and any other moderators will work together to ensure that this group grows so that we can achieve our goal of bringing Duke Nukem 3D players together. Like I said, enjoy, have fun, and be nice.
Skill level : Veteran ( on solo mostly, never got to play MP 'till Megaton edition )
Favorite mode : Dukematch and Coop :D ( even though i never played coop yet in megaton edition XD )
Time zone : UTC+01:00 ( I'm near Paris, France )
Availability : I've not been very active recently on Duke games' online, mostly because i was either doing something else, not able to play, or because of my internet connection, which get unstable when people are at home :/ if we don't count all of this though, i'm available most of the time at 7pm (-> remember my time zone lolz :P ) the whole week. Except this week and the next one, i'm on vacations, which means i'm more available.
Connection : as i just said earlier, it's pretty decent until i have my brothers using the connection ... videos, online gaming and all, so it's a bit screwed for me to play when they're home :/
Extra comment : I've been playing Duke 3D since i was born :3 it was my first game, and i still enjoy it so much ! I've always wanted to play online with friends, what pisses me off is when i want to but then i lag because of stuff i said earlier ... I'm also learning to make maps, dunno when i'll release one here in the workshop, i'm still testing out what we can do with the tools and all x) Anyways, add me to your steam friends list if you wanna play sometime. I know that there might be a lot of times when i cannot but when i can, i'm sure we'll have fun :D
Skill Level: Skilled
Favorite Modes: Both but I feel it's much easier playing dm.
Time Zone/Availability: central time, I have to get out of school at 3:30 pm and I might have some time, mostly I would say I can't since I'm working on my Doom engine based game or just playing something else.
Connection: I can run a server if someone asked me, but rarely my internet randomly turns off but that never really happens.
Skill Level: I have been said to be skilled, so give or take.
Favorite Modes: DM
Timezone: I dunno, i'm from EU, Finland.
Connection: Very fast.
Username: DooMNukeM (A collaboration of my two favorite games put together as a name.)
Skill level: I'm not really any good at any game I play, but I've played games since an early age, used to be a collector for NES, SNES and the N64. My very first FPS was Duke 64 and GoldenEye. So I have played all Duke Nukem games since then.
Favorite mode/mods: I usually stick to myself, though I do like multiplayer. I am very picky when it comes to what maps we play on.
Timezone: United States Eastern Time. As I write this it is currently 12:43 pm.
Connection: 22.69mbps download / 0.99 mbps upload
Extra Information: I'm the proud member of a clan called The Frag Nation and am always looking for new members, no name change is required you just join and you are in. I won't add
a link, since it seems rude to advertise on here. Well that is pretty much it. Have a nice day
and don't forget your bubble gum.
favourite modes: any
time zone/availability: UK (GMT/zulu)
connection: most likely
