Civ 2.5 adds more than 10 units, more than 10 techs, changes and balances all the existing units/ rules, takes out a few of the absurdly cheap/ imbalanced wonders, slows the research and growth rate down (which actually makes for very intense tactical games without dragging on), and custom maps designed for realism and balance, among many other features.
I recommend you at least check it out, I'm confident you'll see Civ 2 in a whole new light after playing 2.5, and of course the multiplayer takes it to a whole new level, especially in this version and with a dedicated MP group.
email me at aux.account1@gmail.com for more info, comments, questions and of course to get the Civ 2.5 game file to install as a scenario/ modpack.-Dan
