How To Play

All regions now have one barren and one proc gen server. The proc gen arenas are not flat and have terrain that you would normally find while playing the game.

Another one of the biggest changes was the database migration. I have moved from a SQL base database to a NoSQL. The new NoSQL database(MongoDB) is much more flexible. I was working on this for a couple of days which is why this update has been so slow. Now that I have this working I should be free to add new features without being forced to change the database structure because NoSQL does not require a strict schema. While this is an under the hood change it will allow me to accelerate development in the future and increase performance of the server with async database requests.

There has been a lot of changes recently so here's a list of most of the changes.

• Updated a lot of the kits to now have lower tiers of armor i.e. revolver kit.
  
• Spears no longer insta kill everyone including your team.
  
• You can now suicide in arenas. This is especially useful when wounded and you don’t want to wait.
  
• The friendly fire option was fixed.
  
• WIP added an option for individual kits so that every player in the arena can use a different kit.
  
• The lights in team selection now light up.
  
• Instead of show damage in chat a UI pops up for a few seconds after the game finishes.
  
• Fixed a bug where players could escape from spectator.
  
• Fixed overlapping text in voice chat UI.
  
• Optimized death event which would occasionally cause lag spikes.
  
• Players can now be wounded in scrim arenas.
  
• Binoculars were removed from the spec kit because they don't work well.
  
• Teams can now be distinguished in spectator by their green/blue hazmat suit.
  
• Fixed a bug where the FFA arena would not cycle through maps. Note FFA only has one map ATM, however, this meant that kills would not be reset after the 3-minute interval.
  
• Removed the ready/unready notification to reduce spam.
  
• There is now a sound played when a player readies up.
  
• Added effects for when a player is banned/tries to join a private arena.
  
• Ceiling lights would occasionally not turn on or off.
  
• You can no longer take fire damage while in spawn.
  
• Spectators that died in the game could be damage by the opposing team.
  
• Fixed a bug where under certain circumstances you could not change kits.
