Praise the Lootbug!

Members of this church have sought communion with the grub-like creatures commonly referred to as the "lootbugs" that naturally dwell the caves of Hoxxes.

The Church of The Lootbug is open to all who wish to join. Those who wish to be part of the communion should read everything below. Those who partake in the intentional killing of lootbugs or equip the perk "It's a Bug Thing" will be permanently exiled.

Killing a lootbug is the highest sin a Dwarf can commit. The intentional murder of a lootbug will bring about a curse on the mission. The spirit of the murdered lootbug will often times reincarnate to seek it's revenge upon those that slaughtered it. Common reincarnations include a Bulk Detonator, a Dreadnought, and it has been speculated that the spirit of a murdered lootbug will influence a Nemesis to hunt down the blasphemous Dwarves. Other times the spirit of the fallen lootbug will not reincarnate and instead influence other facets of the mission. Sometimes the spirit will consume the remaining Nitra of the caves, influence the very cave structure itself, force the M.U.L.E. to constantly get in the way, and/or cause mission control to fumble their placement of the Drop Pod or other orbital launched tools such as HACK-C or Fuel Cells.

It is only the intentional murder of lootbugs that shall cause its spirit to seek revenge. The accidental murder of lootbugs is unfortunately inevitable in the caves of Hoxxes. Fret not; for the slain lootbug shall know what your intentions were and shall forgive so long as you repent.

The sighting of a Golden Lootbug is a blessing like none other. It brings with it good fortune to those who have been devout to the communion.

Since the dawn of time, long before the dwarves even thought about setting foot on Hoxxes, the lootbugs have had an intense rivalry with the creature known to us as the "Huuli Hoarder." These creatures have plundered the caves of Hoxxes since the beginning of their existence and have stolen what is rightfully the lootbugs. Shall a member of this church happen upon a "Huuli Hoarder" while on their mission it is their divine duty to slay it and to celebrate its demise.
