ABOUT Bully Pulpit

Down From The Bully Pulpit

A shortlist of games you "ought" to play. This isn't based on essential quality or objective worth. This is a subjective list of games that are, to our eyes, inventive and interesting.

They may revive a genre, have a slick mechanic, or simply a beautiful style.

From wikipedia:
A bully pulpit is a sufficiently conspicuous position that provides an opportunity to speak out and be listened. This term was coined by President Theodore Roosevelt, who referred to the White House as a "bully pulpit", by which he meant a terrific platform from which to advocate an agenda. Roosevelt used the word bully as an adjective meaning "superb" or "wonderful", a more common usage in his time than it is today. Another expression which survives from this era is "bully for you", synonymous with "good for you".

"Games that are inventive, interesting, or striking for subjective reasons. These are games we think you ought to play, especially if you design games or write about games."
