Binary 2 Model 1 works fine too (that's default one when you don't setup Engine Path)

Are you sure you used the latest version of BST? Cuz I had the similar issue, but it was fixed since some of the update released recently.

Recently I was figuring out of why BST can't import his DMX. Here is what Blender outputs:

After converting it from binary format to text format, I noticed that it contains "broken" symbols after "user" "string":

So, I changed this into something else and re-converted it back to binary. After that, it succeeded to import!

You probably applied Armature modifier for one of the parts accidentally. Check it.

The eyelashes' vtf-texture for SFM should have alpha channel, and $translucent 1 (or $alphatest 1) should be existing in eyelashes' vmt-file.

It doesn't matter how the model looks in blender, the BST only takes material's name, so you should set up material for source engine separately from from blender

Set arms' texture mapping coordinates to UV so it will render properly.
