i think it's a qc code related thing do you know possibly?

Hello guys so i finished my custom 3rd person swing animation people download the 3rd person model and files fine and everything but in game when the guy swings we don't see anything just him standing there why does this occur here's what i have in the qc take a look



$sequence "MELEE_swing" "medic_anims\kisame_swing.smd" {

}

as you can see MELEE_swing is the sequence i'm replacing with my custom 1 but people don't see that custom swing not only that in Model Viewer it also works fine take a look https://gyazo.com/4bf4bf1b0fe65e7cf44f549a3518234d so why in game he just stands there when swinging? In 1st person he swings fine but 3rd person he just stands there

No 1 knows?

Hello guys so basically my 3rd person model animations are done as well as some custom 1st person animations but in game it doesn't use my 1st person animation + it doesn't use my custom arms it keeps using medic defaults even though i changed the path of the defaults take a look at the 3 qcs tell me what i did wrong http://puu.sh/xEYTR/988ea5b5e0.zip those 3 qcs need to somehow be parented to each other to use 1 an another 3rd person model should use the 1st person arms and animations.


The 3 qcs are 1 for the model it's self 2 for the arms (1st person) 3 for the animations of 1st person

forgot to give him textures but take a look how it jumps crazy sometimes as you can see using host_timescale

Hello guys, i have some questions. When you add custom arms and animations into the qc of a 3rd person model would you need to replace this $includemodel "player/medic_animations.mdl" with your own path i also see $includemodel "player/medic_user_animations.mdl" which 1 do i replace with my custom path can i comment 1 of them out and replace the other with my custom path. Also i don't see anything to replace for arms so would i have to add my own line $includemodel "player/custom_arms.mdl" but just by adding that how does the qc know to actually use the custom arms? and isn't arms linked to the animaitons so why is $includemodel "player/medic_animations.mdl" needed if that's the case lastly do i need to do anything with $BodyGroup for it to work?






On A Side Note when walking the animation suddenly twists like crazy this only occurs sometimes but it's annoying and i don't see how it occurs in the 1st place and blender cannot produce it take a look at this 30 second video for a better understanding any help would be appreciated thanks

unlitgeneric works fine that isn't the issue i'm simply trying to get this texture to be animated since the vtf is animated with 16 frames adding $model 1 didn't help it's still static but zappy said it shouldn't be static in game though i hope thats true but can the model viewer even produce animated textures and models cause usually whatever you see in the model viewer is exactly what you will see in game which will be a problem since it's not animating in model viewer

so why won't it work for models unless i'm doing something wrong in blender if anyone knows please let me know thanks

is there any setting in team fortress 2 i can enable to help figure out the camera settings of blender?
