It looks like you clicked the compile all button instead of the cube.qc button

Looking at the error you posted it looks like you clicked the Compile All button instead of the button that was created when you pointed blender source tools to where the actual qc lives.

I just downloaded Blender 2.80 to see what is actually changing and I must say it does look nice. I attempted to load BleST 2.10.2 as a plugin, sad to say that 2.80 is reporting it needs updating to the new format.

I know that 2.8 is still in alpha and probably not time to start writing plug ins for, but I'm just wondering if there might be an alpha of BleST somewhere out there that we can play with?

Don't know what was causing that. For some reason Blender Source tools was looking for a file with a double extension (.smd.dmx) OR, maybe Crowbar wrote the qc with commands like

$body "body" "body"

where it should have been

$body "body" "body.smd"

(without putting an extension on the filename that was suppose to be imported on read) and BleST went looking for either or.
But, I can't see either of those situation happening. The only way to find that out is to open the qc and read it and look at the location it was search for the files and see if they really do exist.

Importing QCs works fine for me and I have not had a problem with any that I have ever tried to import coming out of Crowbar.

Suggest you make sure you're using the most current version of Source Tools (currrently 2.10.2) and try again. Also, if you want to see what that error is exactly, toggle the System console...

And do you have any mirror or edge split or subsrface subdvision modifiers on the object in Blender?

Don't froget that they are applied on export then StudioMDL triangulates and optimizes the mesh on compile.

So, the actual count in Blender may be different than the actual count on the finished model.

There shouldn’t be any reason why all the SMD‘s don’t work with source tools 2.10. I haven’t found any problems yet
