Flex-importing question
I seem to remember reporting how the Blender Source Tools would only import flexes properly if the flex' rest position's vertice is exactly where the mesh' vertice is, while StudioMDL allows a little bit of faulty erroring. Then I seem to remember Artfunkel saying it would take horribly long for Blender to import the flexes if he raised the erroring space more than just a tiny bit. Here I am, really really wanting to import some flexes from VTA onto a mesh so I can have a DMX of it, but... well, some vertices don't move with the flexes. (I'd rather not provide the files, since... well, porn, porn everywhere.)

So my question:
Is there a line I can edit a value of in the python script(s) to make Blender import flexes as properly as possible, in exchange for it taking a heck load of time?

No. You'd be looking at writing your own comparison system from scratch.

What you could try doing is hacking the VTA. Try replacing frame 0 with the reference mesh. There will be a bit of processing required; see the spec.

Well... Then I guess I'll have to just use VTAs for those flexes. Thanks for the reply.
