Importing models breaks shape keys
Hello everyone. I'm being trying to import SFM models into Blender for a while now and while the meshes themselves import just fine, the shape keys on the model will break on various levels and the amount that actually break. Some shape keys work just fine with no errors but some can make the mesh hideous to look at. In addition, if more than one mesh has shape keys, the importer will not apply them to all of the meshes. To illustrate, let's say we have two meshes: mesh_1 and mesh_2. Both of these meshes make up the body of a model and have shape keys. If the .qc is imported, Source tools will apply shape keys to mesh_1 only. If the .smd of mesh_2 is imported and shape keys are applied from the .vta mesh_1, they will not change the mesh in the correct manner. Even if there isn't another mesh that shape keys need to be applied to, importing either through the .qc or .smd still breaks them. I don't know if this is an issue with Crowbar or Source tools, although I'm leaning more towards the latter being the problem. Any help with this problem will be appreciated. While I can't post direct images of the models I'm testing due to Steam's rules, I can say that a lot of the models I've tried are from the Dead or Alive series and are on SFMLab.

Detailed models don't play nicely with SMD/VTA import and there's not much anyone can do with it.

Huh. Well that sucks. Well is there a way to take .mdl files and create a .dmx file? Thank you for responding Artfunkel.
