We are the few. We are Black Earth.

It was 20 years ago that the great war began. The bombs that fell and the blood that was spilled stained the very earth as black as pitch. As the fighting slowly died down, the few remaining survivors began to emerge. The world that greeted them was an exact opposite from the one they had hidden away from so many years before. The air was foul and acrid, reaking of death and decay. The water ran dark with grime and blood, or sat stagnant in pools of murky sludge. It was as if a weight physically hung over everything. The few willing to set out into the wastes of our now scorched earth had one goal in mind. We are the few. We are Black Earth, and we are the only ones capable of creating a green, living world again.
