So over the last few months I have been thinking about this game and the direction I have been going in and it turns out that I was looking at this the completely wrong way.

I've made some massive changes to my game titles and BeLostTwice is one of those changes.

BeLostTwice will not be a game, instead I have started my focus on a different title and that title will sit under BeLostTwice, since I use BeLostTwice as my Game Developer name.

If you would like to join the new title, it's called Terror² or Terror Squared.

There is no info on the page at this time, as I have been putting all my free time into development of this other title.

I currently have 13 Beta Testers and 17 Beta Keys remaining. Activating the key only adds the title to your Steam Library and a blank white icon to your desktop. No build has been uploaded as of yet.

Please don't request a key, I am handing them out randomly.

If you would like to follow me on this journey, I hope to have a build uploaded to Steam in December/January.

The game style is survival, but not that type of survival. You the player have to use your tactics to avoid the enemy and find your goal.

A challenge, to get from your drop off point to the other side of the map and continue to the next phase.

Sure, it sounds easy enough, lots of running, walking, hiding, ducking out of the way because you heard something through the day or night, should I really be out here at night or should I be inside somewhere, hiding even more because something else is in here with me.

Have you ever been in a position where you're alone in the evening, you hear a sound, it raises the hairs on the back of your neck, you've no idea where it came from or what caused it, you investigate and can't find anything?

Survival comes in many different forms, some of which require food and water, others may need oxygen, plants, or minerals, whatever the process is, to survive, you need to keep your bodily stats at a peak performance, without those stats, you will die.

Play alone or go with some friends, the bigger the group the better your rate of survival, the bigger the prey, the harder some of you will fall.

For the pleasure of walking around

Recently I went back to the terrain and discussed with Me, Myself and I that there was some serious changes required in order to move forward. Wanting to make sure that the environment was something I was happy with is definitely something I keep going back on.

Chatting with my close peers and discussing what I am actually doing was harder to listen to that what I was actually doing.

In the following segment we've someone just casually going for a walk, there isn't anything going on here other than showing the terrain, the detail and what if anything is going on.

What is the purpose here? No idea.

It has been quite sometime since I have posted, I don't get a lot of people talking about anything I am typing so I don't expect any replies, so I will just chat and sign off.

So what have I been doing, well I haven't been spending time on the game since this whole Covid came into play and it really has affected me to get in and do anything in game. I had to change my priorities around just like everyone else, but I do aim to atleast get something done every time I log on to the PC.

My playtime is nearing 50 hours but I wish that was actual playtime, everytime I want to test a feature, I need to run the game, test the feature then stop the game, I've probably clicked play atleast 2000+ times from debugging.



So what have I been playing with:

• Making sure I am satisfied with the terrain.
  
• Fixing up the models for you to play with Male and Female
  
• Always going back onto the animations and adding/updating new animations.
  
• Looking on my other monitor at the enemy and what I need to do to get that functioning correctly.
  
• Scripting - Lots of little scripts performing different functions e.g. Interact, build, craft, shoot etc
  
• Debugging. I often find myself always debugging and find bugs and even falling through my terrain or why the rock didn't shatter when I hit it, lots of little things. It certainly takes its toll when it is just me. I would love nothing more than having a team of people help me, but I want to be able to do this on my own without others so atleast when I release it, its something I can call my own.
  
• When it comes to gaming, I want the main focus to be the actual game and not the crafting, it is a different type of survival but not having to worry about feeding myself all the time, not like I can drink water if I have my helmet on.
  
• Oxygen is the key
  
• Adding rusty models to the scene, some either have an interaction or are just for show and serve no purpose as of yet.

I don't need people building and endless habitat but restricted on what you can and can't build, focus on surviving and keeping yourself safe.
