And so we've come to this. The Knights of the Holy Flail, while waging war on the plains of their fathers, found themselves outmatch by heavy horse. Needing an advantage, they sought out the most deadly of mercenary bands, the Band of the Flying Spear. Trained marksmen all, they hurled 3 foot harpoons through the air with abandon, felling horse and man alike, allowing The Brotherhood of the Holy Flail to regroup and route their enemies. The battle won, and gold exchanged, the Band of the Flying Spear once again moved on, searching for more members, more wealth, and more reknown. Do you have the reflex, the patience, the heart and mind to dedicate yourself to this most deadly of weapons? Are you proficient in both melee, and marksmanship? Eyes forward maggots! Now while I normally distaste the rules, you all know I am nothing if not fair. And so, after many meetings and a fair bit of gold exchanging hands, we have formed an alliance with the Church of the Holy Flail. And so I decree, should you see a Flail Brother Hailing the Flail, do not attack, assist. And in return, he shall cast his shield over ye, and take care of some annoying nuisances for ye as well, eh? Hail the Flail and Fear the Spear!
