ABOUT The Backseat Moderation Team

Welcome to The Backseat Moderation Team's Steam page.

The BMT is a group of people that go onto servers and keep those servers clean. This means that, while playing on this server, we try to change rulebreakers, hackers, and generally rude people's behavior in any way possible. Want to know more?

FAQs

How does the BMT work?
The BMT goes onto servers and tells exessively rude people to calm down, get hackers banned, and to keep servers generally clean. The BMT is in no terms affilliated with Valve or any of their affiliates. We are a third party Backseat Moderation team that, without admin powers, tries to keep the gaming community clean and at a PG13 level for people of all ages to enjoy.

I have a server and I would like you guys to help. How do I contact you?

Easy! Just post in the appropriate forum and tell us the IP of your server, and when to come on.

How do I be a part of this community?

Simple. Click the Join Group button and apply to be a part of the team.
Note: Just because you are in the group doesn't neccissarily mean you are a part of the BMT. However, you may do your own little backseat moderation if you so please. We will accept 8 out of 10 people to join the BMT.

How will we know who the BMTs are?
They will be the group moderators. In servers (if on duty), they will have the ☆BMT☆ signification.
If you have the ☆BMT☆ tag and you are not a BMT, you will be kicked from the group. If you are a trainee BMT (accepted into BMT within the last month) you must have☆JR-BMT☆ and guest BMTs must have ☆G-BMT☆
Also note that the BMTs (if pulled into an instant situation) don't have to have ☆BMT☆ as their tag if pulled into an instant situation . If you are going to moderate on a server, you must have the appropriate tag.

Is there an application process?
Yes, but it is easy to fill out, and easy to access. Just go to the forums and fill out the information needed.

Thanks for reading the BMT's page and we hope that you will take part in this attempt to clean out the gaming community and make it an enviroment where no one is offended, and everyone has a fair game. Be the start of the end of a problem today!
