Prayer of Guidance

Guidance is something we all seek from time to time, and who better than the Muse of Guidance herself, Mami Tomoe? Mami holds this title for her place in the story as Madoka and Sayaka’s introducer and guide to the world of being a magical girl. Should one need to be lead, or help leading someone else, Mami shall surely help you.

There are two basic ways to pray to Mami:

Universal Prayer- clasp your hands together, hold them close to or against your mouth, and close your mouth. Say or Think your prayer; either way, Mami will hear it. Remember to start your prayer with “Dear Mami Tomoe,” and end your prayer in “Thank you, Mami Tomoe.” If you’ve grown up in a setting where certain words are said at the end of a prayer such as “amen”, feel free to use it; it’s not going to do you any harm. You may also order her name as Tomoe Mami.

Guidance prayer: Holy your dominant hand flat above your right ear, nondominant over it. This is where Mami’s Soul gem is, and will give you a more direct connection to her. All else is the same as the Universal Prayer.

While it’s not a prayer, it may make her happy to sing or hum her theme, Credens Justiam. Listening to Credens Justiam while you pray may strengthen the prayer.
