ApsisGaming Garry's Mod Murder is now LIVE

Finally after a good while of constant back and forth with the game files, Garry's mod Murder server feels to be in a good'ish position to go public.

This doesn't mean that the server will be just left to be online and I move on to the next thing. Murder server does need more attention to it but it's nothing crazy, just time consuming. Like maps / clues / spawns / pointshop / etc.. This is more of a "I'll stop touching the core files of the mode and leave it as it is."
Also right before the launch of the server in a ordinary fashion was made a crucial mistake of "Let's remove all css needed content from the server"... Was that smart? Nop! Useful? Yes..
14 maps and a bunch of props were removed from the server in total. Keep in mind that those were added back in August? So stuff I only recently started to check up on.
That means that the server is now left with 14? maps and clues that could show up as an error. So if you see an ERROR prop somewhere, do let me know.
Other than that it's all fine :)


Sadly there are no updates for other servers that are planned and / or are in the works because all focus was on the murder server, but as soon as there will be anything usefull to update on then it will be a mix of everything. Also it will be posted both on steam and discord :)

Took much, much longer than expected but finally we can start our first servers...
This Friday we ran a small test of the Garry's mod Murder server and everything went so much better than expected. Small issues that happened were a great reason why to run a test before launch and I am still super grateful to the people who showed up for the test. Honestly, the things you don't bother to check is crazy. If not for Cas to join the test then all the values in the databases would be useless and break instantly.

Everything that was causing issues in the test has been fixed but some small visual issues and a minor issue with Voice chat. These problems are little to nothing to postpone anything, so finally next Saturday (18th of January) we are finally letting the Garry's mod Murder Server go LIVE!

Yet that's not it! On top of having Garry's mod we are also launching Left 4 Dead 2 Server (Kinda). It's been up for about a week or two now.
Left 4 Dead 2 Server is a passion project on top of making other servers like Garry's mod.
L4D2 Server is set out to be a Tank only server with maps to provide it. Currently running "Tanks_playground" as its initial map and 8 other tank only maps in it's playlist providing the same challenge. The server is still in early development so expect weird gamebreaking updates at any given chance. More on it to check in discord or further updates.

What to expect from Apsis Garry's Mod Murder:
Welcome a new role "The Accomplice",
A new role to help the Murderer succeed

  • Evil Non-Lethal role.
  • Cannot kill.
  • Does not have a knife.
  • Cannot pickup the real magnum or the knife.
  • Can get a fake magnum that shoots blanks if found 5 clues.
  • Can be killed by the Murderer.
  • Can be shot by the Bystanders without repercussions.
  • Can see who is the Murderer in within a certain distance.
  • Round can end in Evil Favor with Accomplice being alive.
◼ Accomplice can only spawn if there are at least 8 players online.
◼ Second Accomplice can randomly spawn if there are at least 16 players online.

New Murderer :
  • If Knife is thrown it will return in within 10 seconds.
  • Can disguise as the player on kill using 1 clue (Name, Color and Playermodel (PS2 included))
  • Can get a fake magnum by finding 7 clues.
  • Can pickup fake magnum if Accomplice dropped it on death.
  • Slightly increase running (shift) speed.
  • Can see who is the Accomplice in within a certain distance.

A lot of general additions for a better player experience and most importantly without restrictions for new players.
All of our players are and will be equal when it comes to gameplay! Some restrictions may follow but nothing to do with gameplay itself. If I can double jump, so can you!
