We hate the market inflation of TF2 just as much as you. Why not do something about it? Give everyone a chance at unusuals.

Ever since the community market opened up, backpack.tf has been flooded with people blindly upvoting key prices. This has caused market destability, as well as saturating the prices of keys, the main currency of TF2.

This group is made to promote a new way of trading, that depends on individual trades. That being said, there are no set prices, but rather suggestions of prices. Think of it like mercantalism. Traders can negotiate and barter until both are satisfied. This can also mean that item overpay is non-existant.

If a large portion of the trading community in TF2 does this, soon enough keys will go back down to 2 refined like they were years ago. This makes unusuals and expensive hats extremely easy to get, thus making more people happy. And that includes you.

Allow me to give you an example.

Let's say you want to get one bud. They are worth nineteen keys right now.
Keys are 7.33 refined, according to backpack.tf.

Calculating the amount of refined you earn comes out as 141.36 refined.
That is intolerable.

In contrast, say keys are 2 refined.
That is only 38 refined, or 19 keys.

That means, potentially, that you could earn buds in only a few days.

Doesn't that sound better?

I just wanted to personally thank each of you for joining this group! As you all know if you've read the description, this group's goal is to desaturate the market prices and be rid of inflation. Together, we can change the TF2 market for the good of the community.

By the way, backpack.tf doesn't inflate the prices of things, WE do. backpack.tf documents these prices. The site does not raise or lower the price, the people of the community do. And it has to be GOOD proof, meaning this "inflation" is legit. You can't say "I AM GUD REKT CHANGE KYS PLS VOET GUD" because you're an idiot. You need at least 100 links of proof, and even then it's plausible your proof will be accepted at all. backpack.tf is not to blame, it's the sales and the ACTUAL SALES that are to blame. Wanna stop inflation? Boycott keys. You're welcome. Until then, stop pinning your blame falsely on backpack.tf. Learn up on how it works before you bitch.
