Dear achievement hunters,

the game "Kung Fu Panda" is to be removed soon (between 31 December and 1 January, depending on your timezone). It is not listed as achievement game in the tags on Steam but has 22 achievements, as can be seen on the store page.

Unfortunately the game costs 4.99€ (or your local equivalent), or a bit more if you also want all DLC. Please note that if you get the bundle, you still need to activate the free DLC manually afterwards by going to its store page and clicking on the "Add to Library" link there.

Please note that to my knowledge removed achievement games don't count towards achievement points on AStats or towards total achievements on Steam. So this announcement is more for the collectors among you (and also those who wanted the game in the first place) than for every achievement hunter.

It is unlikely, as the license expires, that the game will ever return to Steam.

Please note that this announcement is no endorsement for the quality of the game. I did not play it yet, and not sure if or when I will, so I can not vouch if it is any good. Please inform yourself about this if you are potentially interested.

It seems Mytharox has fixed the "Query failed" login issue as of 14 August. Please try logging in to see if it works for you. If it does not, please contact the support e-mail and/or post in the forum here or on the AStats site (please make only one new thread, not one per person).

Also feel free to let us know in the comments here (in the announcement or general comments or forum) if it works for you. That it works for you does not mean it works for everyone, but it is good to know if it works in general or how many percent still have errors and we might be able to figure out reasons if it still doesn't work for someone (for example the browser, cookies settings, etc.)

Note: You might need to turn JavaScript on for gtm.steamproxy.vip and the AStats website for the login to work, also you need to turn cookies for the both sites on.

BACK TO EBATORIA seems to not be available everywhere but still is available via Sub.

EDIT: Earlier I thought this was removed, but according to the forum it just is not available everywhere. The game is currently 79 Eurocent or your local equivalent. So you must decide if it is worth it. You might also want to check it for malware first, seeing as recently there were many malware scandals. The site virustotal.com is great for this.

The latter advice goes for every new game, not specifically this one.

One of our users found this solution:

At your profile under the avatar should be your ID (for example 445895, it is not the same as steam ID!) This you should use for astat. Don't worry if you never used it. Just write it under the username and then forget your password. Your password will be reset and you can choose some new which doesn't need steam.

Mytharox tried to fix the Steam login, but it still is broken.

As my last announcement was received positively, here is another game news that might be interesting to you. The game "Hacknet" is - without expansion - free currently. If you missed it during the Humble Bundle action in May, at least you can get the base game for free now.

Note: You must go to the store page (click on the picture on the left or "Buy Hacknet" on the left to get there) to see the free option, the preview shows 9.99€. If you add it with the free button, it will remain in your library for free even after the offer expires. (Of course, if you really insist to give the devs extra money you can buy it instead, but then you wouldn't read this announcement.)

The game has a few achievements, so I'd recommend grabbing it anyway. In the worst case it is "wasted" if you get the Deluxe version later for free again, in the best case you pay less if you want to grab the DLC earlier.

As I didn't play the game, I don't know if DLC is required for 100 percent achievements completion (from how the achievements percentages are distributed, likely not, but I can't guarantee that).
