Hey all,

I thought this would be a good place to make this post, as I know there are lot of people that we all used to play together with on the server before we shut it down.

I would like to let you all know that we've been hosting big adventures on Minecraft the past few years on a regular basis, specifically on the modpack called Feed the Beast, as some of you may be familiar with.

Feed the Beast is basically a group of people who have been assembling enormous and elaborate mod packs from many different modders. It adds tons of new content to the game, like magic, machines, worlds, biomes, items, npcs ect... It's very popular and in my personal experience, very fun!

We've hosted this quite a few times in the past, usually doing the largest of the modpacks. People have made some really impressive and memorable creations, as well memorable adventures. Seeing as there are lots of people on here who will remember the fun we had on Acids Playhouse, I know there are a lot of good candidates for this server.

The servers are always private, you need to be whitelisted to enter. This keeps the trolls/rabble out and helps ensure everyone has fun. There's protected land claiming too, so nothing to worry about as long as you claim the land. There's no money involved on your end, it's all a completely free experience (Minus owning Minecraft of course) Me and a couple of mates literally just do it for fun out of our own pockets.

The mod packs are usually HUGE, with endless things to do. So you will need probably at least 6 gigs of RAM on your PC, ideally 8 gigs or more.

You will have to download the Curse client as well, (Frustrating I know, but it's easy.)

When we start the adventures, we will be posting all the relevant details in the new group below. The server will then be up 24/7, and you will be free to join when you please! I plan to go around taking screenshots of peoples creations, and posting them in the group so that we can look back on them.

Hey all,

I believe it's time to post an anouncement that quite a few of you were expecting sometime soon.

After having thrown everything we can at this server through the course of over a year, it's very apparent that it's just not going to stand up with out constant support. Constant support is something we simply can't provide, or afford, what with cost of living and day to day life.

I would like to thank everyone who has been a big part of the server at some point or another, there have been a lot of great memories from the moment it was created, even before when a few of us came from the old Wireplay server.

An huge amount of work was done on the server for months, trying to adjust it to be something new and exciting, but I think the type of server it was, was just too specific and didn't generate as much interest as it used to. There's probably a lot of reasons.

So here it is, we're laying to rest Acids Playhouse. Thanks all for your support for the server. This group will remain, as there may be new things ahead in the future for our collective of players here. When that happens we'll let you know.

Hey all, we're rewinding the direction of the map for the time being. I think it's evident that most players prefer the simplicity. I hope to take the best features from the new map and bring them to the playhouse version if this pattern continues.

We've brought tons of new stuff to the table.

We've completely remade Dead Man's Maze into something much more respectable and (hopefully) scary! The area the maze is situated in, is now known as the "Family Tombs".

Also in that same area, a new gamemode, Dead Defence! All players again are set on the same team, and have to defend against an unyielding, ravenous horde of undead by surviving till the timer finishes!

In addition, a long awaited gamemode, BUMPER CARS! We have a new, fresh and colourful bumper car arena ready! If anyone has played the Halloween bumper car maps, they'll know how fun this can be.

Next we have our new Spawn Setting System ready for everyone. Tired of running from the lobby to the main arena? You can now set your spawn to any of the pre-selected points of the map! You can do this by either going to the "Select Your Spawn" room and walking into your chosen portal, or by using !selectspawn arena, lobby, coloss or gog.

We will also be experimenting with our homegrown version of crits. Designed to maintain the balance of vanilla TF2 damage and still maintain the satisfaction and speed of an all crits server.

In addition to all this, we still have a load of new content lined up for you guys, so please if you've not been on the server before, or haven't been with us in a long time, give our server a go!

Hello all!

It's been a while since I posted an announcement on here, but work has continued.

As most of you will have seen, I have released a new map that has been in the making for the past month or so.

It's a new mansion for everyone, including a complete revamp of the main arena and all gamemodes to follow. We launched today, and it was good, but not with out the bugs! So the next few days will be a time of feedback and information gathering on the new systems. So far the most immediate issues have been resolved, I will continue to iron out the creases with Ducky my Head Admin.

If anyone has any issues, please report them to any staff member, or to me directly.

These times are exciting for the Playhouse!
