The surprising amount of games actually using AI generated content inspired me (Alexander 'Gruni' Grunert) to start a curation group here on Steam to inform customers about the actual usage of AI generated content in video games.

We believe that an ethical use of this technology is the way to go. But with controversies like Midjourney and ChatGPT actively using EVERYTHING they find without even trying to ask for consent makes this impossible.

The overall goal should be to settle some sort of mandatory requirements in stone for this kind of data gathering - purely on a consent basis. To protect artists and content creators from plain and simple thievery en masse.

Of course, this group can be a place to discuss the technology, but we will throw everyone out who - actively advertises any AI generation tools that are not acting in good faith and on a 100% consensual basis.
