ABOUT Assetto Corsa Racing League

The Assetto Corsa Racing League (ACRL) is an online sim racing community, formed in 2013, dedicated to clean, competitive and fun racing. As the name suggests, we have traditionally focused on Assetto Corsa (AC), but have recently expanded to include Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC). We run our competitive races at the weekends, but often have fun stuff happening during the week. Our members span the spectrum, from complete beginners to scary fast aliens, so no matter your skill level, you can find a home racing with us.

ACRL Racecraft Series - Porsche Cayman GT4 @ Virginia International Raceway
About
The Racecraft series is intended to be a slightly less serious championship, building on the Workshop series we trialled last year, which encourages both seasoned drivers to have some fun, and new drivers to take part and learn how to race closely with their ACRL peers. The season will run in 6 week cycles, with a new car rotated in each season. The first season will use The Cayman GT4 Clubsport, which we've been running in some mid-week testing and has proven to be an absolute joy to race. The theme of this season is a Trans-Atlantic Challenge, with three events on each side of the pond.

Important Information
IMPORTANT RULES
  • The ACRL Rulebook[drive.google.com] must be read by all participants.
  • Teleporting to the pits while on track during race weekends is allowed only during the practice session. In the qualifying session, you will need to drive back to the pits. Teleporting is then allowed after the pit limiter is engaged. During qualifying if you teleport while the car is on track, you will not be allowed to rejoin the session, and you will have to remain in the pits. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a DSQ. In race sessions teleporting at any point is an instant DNF and you must remain in the pits.
  • Track limits are defined by the white line at the edge of the track. Going with all 4 wheels outside the white line will be considered an off-track. Some corners may be automatically monitored by a server-side plugin, and repeatedly leaving the track limits during a race will result in a time penalty, which will be added to your time after the race. During the qualifying session, an off-track will result in your lap time being invalidated, and you are required to abort your lap. If your fastest lap in qualifying has an off-track, you will receive a penalty.
  • The pit app[www.dropbox.com] is recommended to see the pit lane speed limit. You are required to follow kunos' and modders set pit entry speeds. Penalties will be handed out to those who break the 80kmh (50mph) speed limit on entry.
  • We have drivers of all skill levels. For those of you who are joining us for the first time, please keep in mind some drivers work hard tuning their setups all week, it doesn't matter if you're casual/competitive, it can only take a second to destroy hours of work for others. Racing in this league is open for everyone but you must put in enough effort and practice to race cleanly among others.
  • After the race make sure to use the Incident Report Tool[docs.google.com]. Make sure to familiarise yourself with the procedures and what is required for a report to be taken into consideration.
If you have any questions before the race, you can contact us at our Discord server[discordapp.com].
