The 1st Pioneer Battalion was originally formed by two people, Riley and Paul. We originally were the 9th Light Horse but soon changed to the 9th Australian Division and finally the 1st Pioneer Battalion. We strive ourself on being a more historically accurate unit, basing our self on the Australian 1st Pioneer Battalion from World War 1( an assault engineer regiment in the 1st AIF).

We are not a large yet not a small regiment but We offer many other features that other regiments may not have, like the issuing of semi-historical accurate awards and containing a millitary police unit. We currently consist of three infantry companies, the Centre Company(Aslt), the Grenadiers, and a Light Company and also have a artillery battery and Light HorseTroop at our disposal.
