As you may know, Ubisoft turns 30 this year and will give out 30 presents; one every day starting a few days ago.

Actually, yes it has. I'm glad you asked.

Does it in fact offer a non-instrusive gateway to PC games, at different salepoints at different times?
Well I'd say if people want to play some of their own games, then they need Uplay.

It's cheaper on Uplay because the Uplay platform itself is cheap on content & bugs.

Uplay has about as many technical problems as Steam does currently. It's more lightweight, hence less intrusive, and it offers the products cheaper to me at random times. On top of it, I get excellent games for free.
It's lightweight in contrast to Steam because it offers less than the Steam platform.
On Steam though, I can get a shit ton more of excellent games, along more games.

Nope, just dropping off my two cents.

I probably don't think I would want to, because I don't want to be involved when the mods come here and give us all another warning for derailing a thread, just like last time.
Not forgetting to mention the fact that you were just exactly banned for derailing.

So has the Steam platform, and look at where it's at right now.
Ubisoft should've learned a thing or two from this old platform.

Explain how a platform with an offline mode prevents you from playing your game?

If you are worried about derailment, I made this thread a while back, where everything we say is on topic, so go there and we continue.

Alas, you will bail. That's what you've done in the past.

Still, nice misinformed statements about the reality of the situation.

Oh.
I wouldn't have said it like that if I were going to be taking the initiative, and beckoning Jake to come and "prove you wrong", but the bitch part is the cherry on top.

i'll just dish out a response and be on my merry little way

Uplay is an awful platform, when compared to Steam and Origin, where not only it has a tendency to makes unplayable, but it's also an incredibly unstable platform. Hell, maybe all of a sudden Uplay might go down while you're playing a game and you'll lose all of your progress because you forgot to save your game file before this shit platform fucks up again.
Ubisoft's games are badly ported onto the PC, like Watch_Dogs and Assassin's Creed.
The excuses made by one of the higher ups of Ubisoft basically called all PC gamers pirates, which is an excuse as to why they don't do a good job on their PC ports.
Let alone the fact that anything being put out by Ubisoft is a bugged mess.
It's a damn shame because it's the same company that we've come to know and love for great franchises like "the Prince of Persia", "Tom Clancy", "Far Cry", and "Assassin's Creed".
Meanwhile, EA has actually been trying to clean up their public image and whatnot.
Lets look back at when Ubisoft fucked over Wii-U console owners by delaying a console exclusive game called "Rayman: Legends" to make it a multi-platform release, even after they got Nintendo to publish the game back in Japan. Oh, and the Wii-U version of "Watch_Dogs" was released six months after every other system with minimal DLC, and then how Ubisoft executives go and complain about its lackluster sales. No matter how far the game itself had been pushed back, it turned out to be an awful bug-ridden game.
Oh, lets not forget the time Ubisoft forced PC gamers to sign a petition to show that they wanted "The Division" to have a PC version of the game.[archive.is]
It's not even like Steam even needs to compete with Ubisoft's "Uplay" platform.
I thought you of all people would know better, for having twelve years on Steam.
Yes sure, the Steam platform might not be perfect... but the sales and simplicity
(among other mechanics of the Steam platform like Steam Groups), are definitely positive attributes for the platform. Steam way back then was comparable to Origin.
Origin on the other hand works well for what it is, and has good customer support.
Y'know, when you have a shit platform like Uplay; it's no wonder that more and more people would rather pirate your broken games than buy them on your broken platform.

Anyways, let's not derail too much.
Wait a second, you're the one you asked Jake to prove you wrong.
"Prove me wrong, bitch".
Don't forget that you're the one who went and took the initiative.
It wouldn't have been so bad to play the card you're dealing, but the inflammatory language provided for Jake, and the fact you took initiative; provides you're baiting.
