I've long had the statement on my profile about "Striving for a better PC exclusive singleplayer experience".

I briefly touched upon this on my DRM and piracy thread, but changing business models due to piracy on PC have led to the massive shift from PC exclusive singleplayer games to DLC-F2P-microtransaction-episodic-content-multiplayer console ports.

The only ones not affected either have draconian DRM like Diablo 3, which I don't really mind as I DRM and have internet, or are low-budget indie titles who can't afford anything better.

But mostly it's console ports, with PC as an afterthought.

If that's the case, why not also ban anything that can be used for a weapon? Let's start with knives, the most obvious culprit. Next would come heavy objects, because they can be used to bash open skulls. Soon enough, were all living in foam buildings, eating government issued food through a tube.

For instance, the Harvard study cited where internationally there is negative correlation between homicide rates and gun control, fails to look too deep into things like gun availability and gun trafficking and drug trafficking and poverty levels and so on.

Follow-up studies compared a more unified group instead, the developed countries, and found a strong positive correlation.

This is a good read about Switzerland and gun control.

In it you see that not only does gun control help with homicide rates, but also suicides, which ties into the whole mentally ill thing.

The reasoning being, there is a mandatory test and screening time and waiting time before you even get a gun, so the impulse to commit suicide is lessened, and you might end up never getting the gun.
