There's other reasons. For one I'd consider a paid for service superior contrary to what people think. Because that means the platform and game services are actually moderated. I can't remember the last time I was on the Xbox one or hell even my ps3, and I noticed a cheater I played with who hasn't been banned for several years. Because that doesn't happen on a moderated service, it does happen on steam tho, quite often, and it's supposed to be the shining example of pc gaming lol.



As for exclusives. The problem with them is microsoft and sony's have been rather lacking as of late. Despite owning an xbox one I haven't considered buying Halo 5, probably because Halo 4 was just trying to be call of duty. It's like they've stopped trying altogether. One of the best reasons to buy a PS4 is Last of US, a PS3 game, and it's better than every exclusive currently on the PS4. Nintendo easily has some of the best first party exclusive games, and I didn't buy the Wii U and think that. I considered buying the console just because how good their exclusives looked, but I passed learning about NX, hoping they would port their best Wii U titles to it.

I don't know. There's stuff like Ace Combat, some new Berserk game, Bloodborne, DOA Xtreme 3, Diablo 3 offline edition, Dragon Quest, possible FF7 remake, Gravity Rush, Odin Sphere sequel, Rock Band, Star Ocean (hope this one doesn't suck), obligatory Super Robot Wars game, and Ys 8. So I'm at least considering a PS4 at some point.

EDIT: And a version of Last of Us that doesn't chug would be nice too.


I've avoided Nintendo for so long now it's practically become habit. First because I despise motion controls, and it was underpowered and SD. And then again because I don't want to look at another screen while playing a game, and motion controls again, and again underpowered compared to its contemporaries.

I'm not really seeing anything enticing about this new thing. Who knows, maybe a badass 2D Metroid game (with actual 2D art, not 3D) will come out and I'll just have to buy one. But for now... pass.

You know, this is what bothered me with consoles. I don't like the ps4, and I don't like the xbox one, simply because their marketing, they aren't trying anything new. People complain about nintendo being stale, but the funny thing is their one of the few developers left willing to take a risk no matter how much it burns them.


This is why I don't care about consoles anymore. Because all their care about is being more like the PC and I might as well use a pc in that case. At least nintendo tries to offer something I can't get on my pc.
