uhh, how? Any spy could sap n' shoot it and dead ringer when the engie is shooting him. Before the engie prepares to set another one up, unfeign and shoot him, at that moment it depends upon your aim.

And any soldier or demo can spam the sentry out no problem, and after taking care of it, all it takes is a few well-aimed rockets/pipes/stickies, maybe juggle the engineer around if you want to mess with his aim

So no, every class has their own set of abilities, even in a 1v1.

Scout: Double jump, fast movement, uses a shotgun.

Soldier: Rocket jump, 200 hp, deal immense amounts of damage.

Pyro: Afterburn, airblast, afterburn immunity

Demoman: Sticky jump, access to extended melee range with the swords, set sticky traps (or
spam them), shoot pipes, charge at your enemies (charging demoknight has the fastest walking speed in the game)

Heavy: Deal up to 540 DPS, a full health pack in your pocket, tank damage with certain weapons, slow your enemies down

Engineer: Build sentries, dispensers and teleporters for your own needs, use shotguns/pistol/wrangler/short circuit

Medic: Auto health regen, gain more health with the blutsauger, uber yourself if you can really crack four ubersaw hits

Sniper: Coat enemies with jarate (mini-crit damage), headshot for 150-512 damage, block spies with razorback (<-- somewhat useful if you fight spies)

Spy: Weaker but still okay headshot damage, feign death/cloak, backstab, sap the other engie's stuff
