If someone promises you multiplayer and then is like "Yeah but you will probably never encounter other players lol" you know something is fishy.

In the context of that interview, he was saying the universe is so large it would be rare to encounter another player. It's rare to find another player in Elite Dangerous for that same reason, but you can still come across others in game. Sean Murray did not say it would be *impossible*, and he did absolutely nothing to clarify that. It wasn't even bending the truth, it was a total lie.

I'm not saying it's not, its just wanting nigh-sentient enemies and literal infinite possibilities is asking a bit much..

I feel like the Starbound devs started out doing the same thing, but after they realized that goal was impossible they turned Starbound into a space-fairing RPG Sandbox and it turned out quite well. Better than the mess it started out as.

I dunno man. I watched Angry Joes review awhile back and the review was just awful. He had impossible expectations and was disappointed that they weren't met.
