That's kind of the point. Some people have played roguelikes for decades and never beaten them. That's the type of game that Diablo-style ARPGs draw inspiration from. You want a casual feature, so you can beat a hardcore difficulty. Just play on the difficulty that's suited for your style of play. You know, the ones where any sensible build is viable. There's no shame in that at all.

If they wanted a "non-cusual" game, they can very well opt to not respec their character at all. Being able to respect all but masteries and attributes is often discussed in that community, possibly with the majority wanting that changed. Hardly fair for a patch to render a certain play or build useless, to the point you'd have to start all over again.

Diablo-style ARPGs have their roots firmly planted in Rogue. "Casual" features like respecing aren't going to go over well in any of those communities. Same with item drops. Trading has become a huge part of the genre, and having the majority of drops actually be viable for your current build would really hurt the game's economy.

Nah, this one's all modern and flashy, and battles end in about half the time it takes in a normal game.
