Your thoughts on gun control?
I just don't trust society. Even your average well-controlled person who got a gun legally can snap.

Also... If people start getting guns, they will feel safer. But then, criminals may become more aggressive due to the danger they're in, and maybe, just maybe, a simple robbery may turn into an actual gunfight with quite a decent number of casualities.

Now, consider the part where i say they will feel safer. Security won't be cared about that much, people will stop complaining about it and buy a gun instead.

More food for thought: An eleven year old accidentally shot and killed himself with a gun.
Now, an extra problem: Some people have families. And guns. And these people can't learn how to keep a damn gun stored somewhere away from their children. They might not even teach their kids about the gun.

It won't, as long as the people are armed and ready.

Once again, you are asking for abuse if you want the government to strip people of their rights without a trial.

If you're so certain that citizens can't be trusted with their rights, why even oppose a dictatorship? Clearly you need a police state to keep the people in line.
Armed and ready = empowered. You answered to that previous comment suggesting that a country with armed people will not reach such a terrible situation that the only way out is a civil war, but wouldn't access to guns increase the chance of a civil war? I believe some people are able to stop their ideologies from giving them wrong concepts about people with different ideas, but, you know, some ideologies go very far, so do people. These people would even kill others with different ideologies. They can get their guns illegally, but that's already a crime.

Now, what if people who legally got guns start doing hate crime? We'll only find out about it after a victim gets attacked (And probably killed). And the ones doing hate crime may probably be a group.

The government also don't have to install a dictatorship just because some people can't be trusted with their rights. Why the police exists? Wait, why the government exists? I don't think it's there just to control our lives and give us limited rights? It's a natural consequence of the fact that we can't trust everyone with their rights.
