Arma can only really be enjoyed with friends unless you're doing singleplayer campaigns or playing something like King of the Hill
But when you do play multiplayer whether it be a PvE scenario or PvP gamemodes, one good thing to note is that fatigue is a big thing in Arma and you'll have to run short distances at a time or your weapon accuracy and overall efficiency in combat will fall drastically. Camoflauge is good when playing against people, so pick clothing suitable for your environment (ex: a ghillie suit in the middle of a city isn't going to work) bots will see right through canoflauge so don't bother. Arma is really all about tactics so don't run in guns blazing, but rather take it slowly and plan your every move.
