In a way they've also made it stale. Great for you if you like their service. But horrifying for those who don't, there's no other decent options. It's sad because most of the steam problems rest solely on Valve to blame. I don't understand how a company so successful and rich has a support that F2P MMOs would be ashamed of.
Steam support has never let me down.
Can only take up to a month sometimes. Last time I used it they had it down to a 2 week wait period for "most urgent" matters. Everytime I brought that up most people correct me saying it's a month now.

But time is only one of the many issues plaguing steam's support. The generic copy and paste messages, the ones that make it feel like you're talking to a bot, don't always match your issues. Biggest problem is that I found Steam's support required the most amount work on my part. Making a new account related to steam support, photographing and uploading a steam wallet card alongside the receit writing your ticket number on it, and supplying the a code thing I got from the automated email response. Luckily I don't throw away my receits, steam wallet cards, or delete my automated steam replies telling me what game I bought. Otherwise I'd be fucked. Oh and I guess I'm fairly lucky I had a copy machine to upload the image containing the information they needed, as I'm not sure they would accept a camera level quality picture.

Then the part that gets to me, (and probably so many others as well) is that for all this effort you put into your support ticket, giving them all the various information they need, you're left waiting in the dark for an undetermined amount of time, only to receive another copy and paste bot response telling you they finally fixed what shouldn't have taken them more than an hour for a respectable support to solve. I don't think Steam's support could get much worse, other than not responding ever, or perhaps asking for a dna test.
