One of the best reasons to buy a PS4 is Last of US, a PS3 game, and it's better than every exclusive currently on the PS4. Nintendo easily has some of the best first party exclusive games, and I didn't buy the Wii U and think that. I considered buying the console just because how good their exclusives looked, but I passed learning about NX, hoping they would port their best Wii U titles to it.

I don't know. There's stuff like Ace Combat, some new Berserk game, Bloodborne, DOA Xtreme 3, Diablo 3 offline edition, Dragon Quest, possible FF7 remake, Gravity Rush, Odin Sphere sequel, Rock Band, Star Ocean (hope this one doesn't suck), obligatory Super Robot Wars game, and Ys 8. So I'm at least considering a PS4 at some point.

I've avoided Nintendo for so long now it's practically become habit. First because I despise motion controls, and it was underpowered and SD. And then again because I don't want to look at another screen while playing a game, and motion controls again, and again underpowered compared to its contemporaries.

I'm not really seeing anything enticing about this new thing. Who knows, maybe a badass 2D Metroid game (with actual 2D art, not 3D) will come out and I'll just have to buy one. But for now... pass.

Hopefully that Ace Comat is nothing like the last game, otherwise I wouldn't take that shit no matter what console or even if it came out on steam lol. The Berserk game is a Mosou title, I'd be a bit careful mentioning, since most people here are angry at people reselling games and I can't think any other genre that's been more beat to death than that one.


Bloodborne although a great title, my main problem is that I'm not sure it's enough of a jump from dark souls, demon's souls, dark souls 2 and 3, to the point that it's anywhere close to a console seller. I'm sure it would be, had I not touched any of the other souls games and played them for hundreds of hours.


Dragon Quest stopped releasing notible games last generation. There's the minecraft rip off, I guess that could excite some people, assuming they haven't found their fix off the other ten thousand minecraft games. I'd love to count Dragon Quest as a reason to buy a console, had DQ9 never happened anyways, it's just Square never feels like they want to release any of their titles outside japan for a long long time if they aren't Final Fantasy.



Final Fantasy 7 is a timed exclusive. Aside from that it was cut up into 3 parts, I don't have any hopes for this game. And Star Ocean has gotten worse even single game, I don't think they can sink anymore low. Fans have a hard time arguing whether 4 or 5 was the worst in the series. Diablo 3 offline edition sure sounds like a console seller to me, for a consoles that require online play for most of their games to be playable since they have day 1 patches. in fact why wouldn't I just spare myself the issue and play the pc online version, since the consoles are so persistant of requiring online, even for offline games.


DOA isn't even coming out over here, unless you're planning to buy the japanese version. Same with Super robot wars, unless it's another completely original game, which would sorta defeat the purpose of the series which it's known for.



It's hard for me to get excited about any of these titles. Most series have been on the decline in quality sadly. I'd say FF15 is bigger and more appealing than any of those games you've listed.

But that's the only reason to get a console. To play games that don't come to PC. Like Red Dead Redemption (still bitter). Nintendo always tries new things, unlike most other companies of today
They don't release a phone and make it bigger
They don't release a console, make it prettier then release it just to be the "advanced" console

They actually make different formats of things, they don't repeat what they do
Wii encouraged sports in video games
Wii U encouraged using a stylus and a gamepad with a device that's actually made for games, not a tablet with windows 7 on it
Nintendo started the whole "controller and console" thing and people just rode off their tails

imo Nintendo's future is bright with the release of this console, but we'll have to wait till it actually releases to find out, neither me or you can really tell anything right now

They do have one advantage. Nintendo's weakest point was the drought of games their consoles/handhelds had. They easily have what I consider to be the strongest first party games in all of the gaming market but because they've always had two markets to focus on they end up leaving a console or their handheld dry for half a year/more.



And thus their advantage is they can finally focus their teams on making games for just one platform for a change. Maybe, just maybe they'll get third party support this time if they've learned anything. If they bring those together I could easily see this being my favourite next gen console.

Only game I've even seen for it is Zelda, and although it looks good, not enough to sway me over. Hopefully there's more about it's library.

How is that a problem, as you can just download them right? Well, fuck if microsoft cares about that, because unlike the ps4 there isn't an option to download in smaller packages and you can get errors that microsoft still hasn't fixed that never let you update or download the games thus never allowing you to play them.

I bought it not long after it came to steam. Game came out with an update a month later, looked like they were gonna take the real minecraft beta style approach with constant updates. Then took roughly over a year before the next update came out with the next updates following similar patterns. Hence the word signicant updates. As in the amount of updates coming out made the fans feel like the game was abandoned. :/
