it really has a lot to do with the gameplay mechanics, PvP, builds and covenants.

The covenants really suck this time around, lets start with that.

The Darkmoon Covenant is a reskin of the Blue Sentinels.
The Aldrich Faithfuls are a copy/paste of the Watchdogs of Farron.
Rosaria's covenant doesn't do anything at all, really.
Blues never get summoned.
