They also removed the gyms too.

To be honest, I like this. They're finally trying something different. Let's hope it'll turn out alright.

But I don't understand how two of those three mechanics I said would work

Alola forms are just different forms of the gen 1 pokemon that have adapted in the Alola Region.
Idunno bout' Z moves though.

So Alola forms just change Pokémon tenporary or do they get new stats or something?

Probably the same stats, not sure.

I don't like Z moves but what's wrong with Alola form? People are complaining that there's a lack of diversity in new Pokemons so why not change some of the original pokemons? It (sorta) already existed in the past. For example, west sea and east sea Gastrodon.

I didn't play Gen 4

help me

Imo,there's little to nothing wrong with Alola forms but I'm really confused on how it would work.Would the Pokémon chamge names, stats, typings?

I'm sure the name will stick, stats not sure, but the typings will definitely change.

I mean, animals do evolve differently depending on their environment. Look up "Papuan Kangaroos" for example, they look nothing like the more iconic Australian Kangaroos. Alola forms are just biologically different forms of same Pokemon. It makes sense for this to happen, I really don't get what the big uproar is.

Z-Moves don't seem like they'd have a huge impact on the game. The lack of gym leaders is refreshing. I don't think every region would have to abide by those things anyway.

We already know the typings changed. They showed how Alola!Ninetales is Ice/Fairy and Alola!Exegutor is Grass...Dragon for some reason.

Maybe the developers were reminded of Dragonfruit?
