I still have idea what is so appealing about MLP, it looks like the most empty show. A show needs some sort of story

Season 4 had an overarching plot and the first three seasons had two parters which told an arc.

You have a point, at first glance MLP can appear rather generic or girly, but if you watch a few episodes you'll discover it's quite deep.
