There is no one at this time to maintain the servers, simple as that. It's not DDoS.

Everytime Steam is down some group claims they DDoSed it.
There have been worse downtimes on Steam before anyway.

A lot of people are back from work and logged into Steam, causing servers to fuck up.

No, no hacker groups were responsible. No matter what they say.

And? 4 hours is not the longest in the history of Steam downtimes.
Worst one happened in 2011 if I remember right.
