Unless you meant a group membership invite. Once they say "Ignore" the first time (from anybody) steam won't sent them another request for the same group.

If you just invited them to join a conversation, the same probably applies.

There's a checkbox for starting steam in big picture mode and another one for starting when you log into Linux.

Perhaps the date can help you out.
Look at your entire page view of yoru friends list. should say "Friends since: <date>".
It could be you sent the invite years ago and thats the date he accepted, or he sent the invite years ago and thats when you accepted.
Other than that try asking the guy.
If he's not responding remove him. If he re-ads it was meant to be.

Ask him how you met, or what chatroom. Maybe you were helping eachother out on some co-op games?

I found a list of pinion server names to add to my computer's host file. Seems to work fine unless they add different hostnames for pinion. Of course the MOTD will be "page not found".

One of the featurse of the beta is you can't get /me back even when opting out.

About 10. I occasionally trim my list of people I have added just to troubleshoot their issues (after resolving them and the guy disappears, etc).

Perhaps the list itself can be placed on the Friends wall page below the "My Comment History" link.
