There are so many people on YT telling you to quit video games if you want to be successful.
Just my opinion, but this topic is so one sided.

Quit playing video games if you want to be successful because Andrew Tate said so. Or some kid who played for 16 hours a day. There is no middle ground. Moderation? Nah Video games will ruin your life Hustle. Grind Work. Work Work

Some people totally should quit video games, but I think they are fine as a recreational activity.

Another thing to note is that there is a certain type of people who are constantly ON THE GRIND and they just work a ton and hustle a ton at all times. These people don't even watch TV or listen to music, usually.

Those people are few. The grinders and who only work all the time. As for the other I agree. If you play to escape you have a problem.
Quitting video games can lead to significant benefits like increased confidence, lower anxiety, and more motivation, which can be crucial for success. While gaming provides a predictable sense of accomplishment, quitting allows for the pursuit of real-life goals, the development of new skills, and more meaningful real-world achievements; although, success is not guaranteed simply by quitting.
If I quit gaming I could of been the president, but I didn't want to be that stupid.
Video games are time consuming. So, if you cut them out of your life, you have more time in which to try to be successful.

Unless you plan to make your success through playing video games.
Gaming, for most people, is a hobby. Some use it as an escape from reality, some to hang out with friends, some to troll etc. etc.

As with any hobby, as long as it does not interrupt your life in bad ways, ie: you don't spend time with family or friends, you don't go to work, you don't do anything else but game all the time, all things considered it is not a bad hobby. Just don't it consume your life, and this comes from someone who tried to make it on twicth. Over 8k hours streamed lol.
Andrew Tate is a loser.
Do whatever makes you happy and stop paying attention to idiots on Youtube.

Yea, but couldn't you say the same about any hobby? Doom scrolling which can take up a TON of time. Binge watching shows and movies. Watching YT for hours.

I could go on. Is it gaming or is it the fact that people mismanage their time. What if you put in gaming time into your calendar. You work all day on a project or come back home from work. I'll game for 45 min. And its tracked. You are strategic w/ your time.

True. Just making conversation.

I am "successful" (if you're talking work-wise) and I still play videogames. One does not nullify the other.

The thing with success, you have to define it for yourself. Don't let anyone else define it for you.

Video games are like recreational drugs. It makes it easier, and more comfortable to spend hours upon hours a day doing nothing productive.
