I think "hands" are dangerous
They're destructive, better to control them.

You are 100% right. Here is proof.

You can have my hands when you take my hands from my cold dead…. hands?
you can destroy things with your feet too though.

The choices are to either remove them at birth (for societal health and hygiene reasons), or put brain implants in which will modulate what activities hands are authorized to do and when. At that point you could guarantee people would wash their hands but it would be best to cut them off anyway because you could charge a lot for it and it would leave them dependent on hand replacements which you can also charge for and threaten to take away periodically. Like, the economy, duh.
Everything is dangerous.

Hands are the worse, they can ruin your life if you're unstable.

This was actually my thought. If everyone had their hands amputated, they'd be setting off explosives with their feet.

If you're going to skip from the thing that those hands hold which does the actual destruction to the thing which triggers the destruction, then you may as well go further up the chain, since it's brains that are utilizing hands, or any other appendage, to extend their curiosity and / or will unto the world via destructive means.

But know this... even if you could kill everyone, this cycle would eventually repeat as existence eventually gives rise to the evolution of thinking entities again.
So, not even eliminating brains would stop this.
As long as things exist, there will be destruction and danger.

The very nature of digestion is destructive, and an entity doesn't even need hands OR feet to be able to do that.
Off topic but there was a story of a guy who was addicted to video games. He wanted to stop so he cut off his hands. Sadly that didn’t work and he still found a way to play.

if you're unstable you can use your hands to carry around a cane or a walker for enhanced stability.

Wear gloves.

That's like saying that electricity is worse than a hammer.

Both are tools that do plenty of non-harmful and non-dangerous things,
and those non-destructive activities are actually their primary function.

Furthermore, if someone smashes your head in with a hammer
rather than electrocuting you...you're still dead either way.

gloves will improve stability even further. they can make it easier to firmly grasp the walker. bare hands can be oily or covered in lard, making them slippery. and if you slip and lose hold of the walker while you're already unstable... you will tumble.

We need a hands off approach to deal with this problem.
