Start by identifying which games are actually beatable with a conclusion/resolution/etc and turn your focus onto those games.
Then plan what skill trees and story plot elements need to happen so that you can face the final boss, etc. Put those items on a calendar and stick to it. Then finish the game and start analyzing the next game.
After about 3 of these you should feel the need to step away from gaming for at least a month and fill your mind with other stuff(like college courses).
After your finals use gaming as a reward for yourself.
Kill the final boss.
If you're unsure what that is, kill everything on the screen until there stop being things on the screen
Keeping track of kills and stuff, getting rewards like cases and weapons, it's all part of the addiction and companies like valve WANT you to be addicted.
You could dump your items but i always re buy them wasting money, doesn't even help uninstalling or even removing the games from your account.
it's bad to be this way. (i don't think i helped neither)
Its called a gaming guillotine.
Just put the chord in the hole and let it chop.
Of course since controllers are wireless these days its probably easier to just hide the controllers.
Obviously you know the password, so it won't actually stop you, but it will force you to think about it what you're doing. It's a small barrier that makes it so you have to consciously decide that you do want to play games. Just a brief little moment where you might think, "you know what, not today".
