its just a lot of persons feels they should not have to pay for a game but somehow miss the idea of how do servers stay up for them to play a game they love

The simple, non-evil answer is to distribute the server source and allow the client to be configured to connect to a different server.

even i don't know how to do that persons are looking to jump into a game with minimal fuss

If they dont feel the need to pay that is good for them and it is up to the developers/ owners to make a business model that is effective in keeping maintenance costs covered as well as profit. Eventually maybe just keep it on a maintenance level cost.

Without costs being covered the servers will stop.

Some people wont care they will move to the next 'free' game.

Say check their fans on the systems on a hot day, a server can run hotter and they need cooling and that costs money.

oh yeah i don't take it that deep i go up to 3 things and persons tell me all the time that its wrong for stuff to cost money and it should be free

Some things can be free though, if they are labelled as free and you can't pay for it even if you asked, well it is free.

I know that is my point. I answered the way I did and others answered regarding games. The whole point is to what did the OP mean regarding his post? Games or everything else?
