American FBI head Patel illegally 3D printed guns?
The American FBI comes to invade New Zealand and the head director Patel goes to illegally 3D print guns to hand out as gifts to the NZ officials (senior polices, security and intelligence).

They can now be given a 3 year prison sentence or fined $4000 NZD

Are they just trying to test to see how corrupted we are here too?

The pistols were surrendered and destroyed.

Like why would he do that in the first place?

Isn't it illegal to manufacture 3D printed guns in America?

Possessing an unregistered and unserialized firearm?

If not, then you seriously need to work on your gun laws in America. That's just insane!

Imagine the nation's top law enforcement officer having no idea how the law functions in nations he's visiting for the purpose of opening field offices.

Only da best, most qualified people.
They were non-functional and mounted on wooden plaques but New Zealand law is so tight you can't even own replicas.

This is what I was wanting to know.

So it was meant as a gift display stand of some sort?

Not illegal to manufacture in some areas (Alot of this comes to local laws and permit) But if you do produce you still have to comply with local law and register said firearm.

So did he legally print them over in America and then illegally smuggled them on a plane over here... or did he illegally print them while here? So many questions!

Just gifts/decor. They were printed plastic shells of various pistols.

I would of liked to of seen a photo of it. Perhaps an over-reaction for merely what was meant as a non-functional display gift. Yet you think he would of known at the same time our own gun laws?

This is only true if you have a lot of money though. if you ape even a fraction of the things these people do then say goodbye to your entire career. :oink:

Patel still broke the law. Ignorance of the law isn't an excuse.
