Rename 'Steam Wallet' to 'Steam Credit'
Because once you have your money on, its not your money anymore. its just something you can exchange for things. wallet is missleading, credit make more sence

Wallet, because you are putting money into it like you would your wallet.

They want to avoid confusion, so they called it a wallet. There is no rule that something has to be called credit and unlike points it is a 1/1 ratio.

Credit, Credit Card, Store Credit, Credit Check. Credit is already over used.

if you call it steam credit people are going to think they can return their games for store credit...

You put money in it.
You use the money you put in it as real money.
It even keeps the ammount and coinage you put in it (Put $2 on your steam wallet, you get $2 on your Steam wallet, not '2.000 Steamoniums')
It looks like a duck, walks like a duck... let's call it an orange.
Steam wallet is fine.

2.000 Steamoniums does has a nice ring to it, though.

I wouldn't mind buying games with Steamoniums. That would be pretty nice actually. And 2000 of them? what an awesome return on my toonie. I'm investing in Steamonium!

He said 2.0 (with a few extra zeros), not 2000. ...Unless he's one of them Europeans, I guess :P

The nomenclature is more or less irrelevant. as long as the meaning is ubiquitous.
