Option to Auto upload Screenshots

This is a very simple request. Its a good quality of life feature to picture and forget. Maybe at the end of the week or if you feel like it, you'll check the cloud to delete bad screenshots and caption the good ones. Even game recording software does this in video form, i dont see why screenshots would be any different.

"Not enough storage" = Check back your screenshots or be more cautious
"Performance issues" = It's would be an option. If you can't run it turn it off
"It's a waste" = Why would it. Other posts on this forum would want it as well. If you don't want it don't turn it on.

Please no... there's so much people that spam the game hubs screenshot section with low quality shots even without such a feature... it might be a nice feature for a bunch of people but no "quality of life" feature for the mayority.

I second this. Some of us actually like looking through the game hubs and seeing what cool images people have capture, this suggestion would make that totally impossible.

We already have users who’ve totally maxed out their cloud storage on screenshots - hundreds of thousands of shots taken a rapid succession.

Oh heck no for the reasons mentioned already. The spam of useless screenshots is already high.

There are people who have hit or are close to hitting the 25,0000 limit and complain that they want it higher. This would just help them hit the limit faster with even more pointless and useless screenshots.

Theres people that spam it? isnt it for private reasons? thats crazy i didnt know many have reached 25k wth

Why would you even want to have ALL of your screenshots in the cloud? Picture and forget, it gets saved in your steam screenshot folder on your PC. Then, at the end of the week or whenever you feel like it, check that folder, delete trash, upload nice chosen ones.

Oh, we’ve had at least two people who maxed out their storage with screenshots alone. Basically they use their Steam account as a photo storage.

I’ll see if I can find the threads in my post history - it was a fascinating read.

Im curious , where is this game hub section you speak of?

Maybe a small amount do it by accident because they don't realise that every set-to-public screenshot is automatically uploaded into the game hub or they don't know how to set their screenshots on private/friends only but many do it on purpose for sure.
And for an example... have a look at a few random game hubs screenshot sections and have a look on the newest entrys.

Yeah, basically does.

It sucks because I know people who can spend an hour in just photo mode lining up the perfect shot, and their work is just getting buried under bot spam.

Yeah... count me in...

And I'm also one of those weirdos that, out of respect for other users, have a self-imposed limit on the number of screenshots they would upload every day.
