Steam Deck Compatibility section is not shown on countries where Steam Deck is not sold officially
Hello,

In game detail page in Steam store in PC Desktop client and Web, the "Steam Deck Compatibility" section is not shown to me. However, other friends of mine outside of my country can see them clearly.

To specify the issue, I tried on a VPN, and I saw this detail, and after I disconnect from the VPN it's gone again. So, I'm assuming people who live in the countries where Steam Deck is not dispatched (yet) cannot see this information. I own a Steam Deck already and got it as a gift on my travels, and want to see this result on my PC's Desktop. Please enable this feature, to people at least who owns a Steam Deck. I don't want to constantly check ProtonDB before any purchase.

I'm living in Turkey, if that would help.

Thanks in advance!

I think you can just search for a game on the proton page and it will show you what the compatibility rating is, wherever you are browsing from: https://www.protondb.com/

You don't have to view it purely by store, thankfully.

That's what I exactly do already, and don't want to. Let's say I browse a store page and check for games to buy, or I check my library for games to choose to install. Checking every game on browser (I use steam on official client, not browser), check the compatibility, and go back and forth for every game is frustrating.

What you mentioned is a workaround, not a proper solution, and I do it already and it gets me tired.

The feature is already there, implemented. As a programmer myself, I believe showing it (removing that filter thingy, or to enable to people who also linked a Steam deck to their account at least) should not be that difficult to implement.

As one of my fans said in another thread:

Country of origin doesn't matter, keep your xenophobia to yourself.

Valve needs to stop discriminating and release the Deck worldwide, just like other console manufacturers do. Wanna play with the big boys, act like the big boys, Valve.

This has been annoying me for ages.. I'm from South Africa and sure Valve doesn't officially sell the deck here but I have one anyway. :P I don't see why they couldn't just make this info show to anyone who has a SD because they obviously know who does seeing as you log into Steam with it.

Alternatively Valve could add an option in user preferences, we're already able to chose various categories or which operating system etc, just add one for the Steam Deck too....
