How do you mean you "didn't earn them"?

Did you use an third party program to unlock them or did they pop up in game when you didn't meet the criteria for them?

Specifically I earned the achievements for having 5000 and 10000 resources left when I had only 1500 resources left at the end of the mission

and this was the first mission I played

I don't suppose you misread the final amount?

This message (and the one I responded to in the Steam Community forum) would be better suited in the Defense Grid forum. You obviously found a bug that nobody else has. I still recommend you confirm the timestamp on those achievements to see if it was when you were playing.

If you didn't mis-read and the game simply unlocked it then you will be perfectly fine as it's merely a bug with the coding of the achievement.

(May I suggest you close your Support ticket, to free up the time they'd spend replying to you so they can get an issue that can't be answered by the forums sorted? :) )
