If the parts fit together then the machine will likely operate. The only real trick is connecting the power switch/reset front panel usb stuff to the motherboard(gotta have that manual handy).

From there upgrade any piece of your desktop whenever you can afford it. Do consider maxing out the RAM first, as you'll probalby not find compatible ram near the end of the machine's life.
SSDs are cool, but motherboard M.2 SSD drives are probably best.
Then just weak everything else until it runs well. By then you'll figure out what you should have bought. Use that info to make your next PC.
The Hardware and Operating Systems forum would be a good place for your inquiry.

But what is your budget? And are you comfortable building a PC?
Your best place to ask will be here:

A lot will depend on what your budget is, what type of games you want to play on it.

Once you find one you like, always ask on the same section of the forum as some Steam users might know where you can get parts cheaper or higher spec for the same price.
MYSELF I DON'T LIKE LAPTOPS. i PREFER a desktop computer. But whatever computer you choose get one with the most latest graphics card and update it after you get it. A computer with a high amount of memory (ram) is necessary. Plus it should have a large hard drive, an SSD (Solid State Drive) and a second drive which could be an SSD or conventional hard drive.
The computer I am using now is an OMEN i9 processor and Windows 11, an SSD and conventional hard drive. Both are large drives as to storage space. The memory is large enough. It can run using a WIFI connection or the regular Ethernet cable. It has an antenna for WIFI connection (a Wireless connection). This computer cost a little more than $1000 maybe $1200?
I did have a laptop, but some water got into an end of it and it no longer works. Maybe I could fix it? Or send it out to be fixed. But who knows how much it would cost.
I have built my last two computers one with an i5 processor, one with an i7 processor. These computers were top of the line when I built them years ago. Everything was the best I could get. But now they are old and not as good as the best of today. I want to build one with an i9 processor, as much ram as I can put the motherboard. The motherboard will probably be an ASUS motherboard. Which uses the M2 type of storage (hard drives) they are sort of cards that plug into the motherboard. The best Graphics card out there. But all of this costs money of which I don't have right now. If I had 10,000 then I would build the best computer there is. But it would be old the day I build it as things are improving all the time Processors ,storage, motherboards, memory, graphics cards, etc are all advancing. And what would be the best would be old maybe before I built it. Building a computer is easy. But I would buy an extra power supply that is the same as the one I would be using, as they change and might now be available if the current one in the computer goes bad.
I am not smart as to what is what as to power supplies. I would ask if these parts will work to make a working computer.
