No idea what game you're referring too, but as with most games. Start with the basics, learn the maps, get to know the weapons you use or have available. Practice, practice and more practice. Read some guides or watch other players, see how they play, adapt what you learn to suit your play style.

You can play a game where getting killed isn't that much of a deal. Pretty much anything that lets you respawn within the round. Team Fortress 2, Quake Champions, something like that.
