I got shivers down my spine when I heard..."RISE AND SHINE DOCTOOOORRRR FREEMAN".

Game of the decade, well deserved and I couldn't agree more.

Let's hope Half Life 3 wins the next GOTD! Or the one after that...

There were so many glaring omissions from the nominees that I can hardly even consider it a legitimate award. But grats to Valve.

I personally don't think the VGAs should be taken seriously, anyway...

Yeah, they should've at least switched to DVIs by now.

So is game of the decade the equivalent to the lifetime achievement Oscar where the recipient usually has one foot in the grave, hope not.

I still haven't played HL2 Ep.1 or Ep.2. I'm holding out until HL3 is either announced or solid info is leaked so that I can replay all of HL2 without the sinking feeling of it being the end of the series.

Deserved prize indeed.
Now can we have Mr Freeman to 'Rise and shine' again please??? :)

Well deserved, this game it's the closest we will ever get to perfection. Also does anyone have the award video? i can't find it.

cheers
I think it deserved it, cudos Valve!

That was amazing. I loved that Gabe Newell and 16 other members of Valve went to get the one award. I think they also won the unspoken award of "Most amount of people on stage to accept an award". I was also surprised Gabe didn't accept it and wasn't even in the middle of the group. It was more like a "Where's Waldo", oh there he is.
