Valve is woke?
Censorship on steam is at an all time high, when will this madness end? I can't even choose which games I want to buy anymore. So many restrictions it feels like a dictatorship.

You are late to the party. Now popular boogeyman is called "activists". You should curate the ragebait better.
Yes, it is so oppressive that we cannot even come to the Steam forums to anonymously complain about it.

Are you jester farming or are you just a bit behind the curve as far as complaining about this issue goes?

But ok, I will bite. What restrictions are currently ruining your life?

You're not "biting", this legitimately isn't a troll post nor a jester farm. The fact that I can not add Lost Ark and Delta Force to my library is ruining my life at this time. Really tired of restrictions and censorship.

I just added Delta Force to my library. Where is that censorship exactly?

Steam abiding by the laws of your country isn't censorship.

They aren't abiding by the laws of my country on other games like Overwatch 2, Apex Legends or Counter-Strike. So why do they abide by it for specific games? That IS a restriction chosen by the company.
I swear, every time someone sees “censorship” the first word that comes to their mind is “woke”, and it’s a pattern we can’t stop.

That's a question for the publishers behind those games. If they aren't available in your region, it's not because Valve is maliciously censoring them, there will be a reason somewhere

If the other games you mentioned are available, then most likely this is a developer requesting Valve do not make the game available in your region.

Again, contact the developers and find out.

But the developer of Delta Force allows me to download their own launcher from their website, so why would they deliberately block it on steam? That doesn't make any sense, but I will ask them about this as well.

Who knows, thats why you have to ask them.

It's entirely possible that Delta Force is not allowed to be accessed in your region and Valve have had to comply to some law. Why other games aren't affected is not for me to determine, but there will be a reason.

Valve do not arbitrarily make games unavailable in regions, just because they can.

I'll research this further, but I remain skeptical so far.

Think.

Why would Valve remove a game and possible revenue unless they were legally obligated or it broke their rules?

If Valve actually did this, any game that required paid access would immediately mean they'd lose money because people in the region they removed it from would not be able to purchase.

It's not a great look to randomly piss off your customer base because you (Valve) decided that a certain region shouldn't be playing "x" game.

Because they love censorship?
